Mosaic signage is one of the most stunning uses of digital signage. It can immediately set a space apart and make someone feel like they’ve stepped into a different environment entirely.
What is a Mosaic Display?
A mosaic display is made of a series of LCD panels. They combine to form an image across the entire display of panels. The image is synchronized and split across the multiple panels to create a full, moving image.
These LCD panels can all be the same size, but some of the most creative uses employ a parquet approach of differently sized LCD panels which create an interlocking image.
The goal of mosaic signage is to stop someone in their place and capture their attention. It’s one of the easiest ways to draw people into a retail location or to make people feel they’ve made the right choice when they step into your office or hotel lobby.
Building Brand Narrative
This is partly because a mosaic display is rare, but it goes further than this. A mosaic display creates an easy-to-understand image out of several separate frames moving in synchronicity. This communicates a theme that customers connect to your brand. In other words, they see a visual representation of taking something complex and making it into one picture. They make the psychological connection that this is something your business can do as well: to take something complicated and make it easy to understand.
A simple display already suggests a narrative about your business’s mastery of its industry without you even having said a single word. That’s the power of a mosaic display.
Mosaic displays can be linked together, but they don’t have to be. They can each display their portion of the synchronous image without having to be connected to the other displays. There are different approaches so that installation can be remarkably swift and easy.
